1.1 Product Overview
LD6004 is a radar sensing module developed based on the ADT6101P chipset. It integrates a 57–64 GHz RF transceiver system on a single chip, a 2T2R AiP (Antenna-in-Package) antenna, 1MB Flash, a radar signal processing unit, and an ARM Cortex-M3 core.
Based on FMCW (Frequency-Modulated Continuous-Wave) signal processing and radar algorithms, this module provides highly sensitive human-state detection. It can identify motion, micro-motion, and stationary human presence, and it can also output auxiliary information such as target distance and speed.
With a two-transmit/two-receive antenna architecture, LD6004 offers a wide beam angle and is suitable for ceiling-mounted installations. It supports GPIO and UART signal outputs, enabling flexible integration into various smart applications and products.
1.2 Features
· FMCW radar detection based on frequency-modulated continuous-wave signals
· Supports tracking of up to 3 human targets; outputs target position x, y, z coordinates
· Detects both movement and stationary presence indoors with accurate recognition within defined zones: supports detection-zone partitioning and suppresses interference inside and outside masked/blocked zones
· Supports side-mount mode switching; maximum sensing range up to 6 m
· Wide detection angle: ±60° (horizontal) and ±60° (vertical)
· Standard UART interface with communication protocol provided; UART parameters configurable to meet different application requirements
· Compact size: 35 × 7mm; supports both pin-header connection and SMT (soldering) connection
· Unaffected by temperature, humidity, noise, airflow, dust, ambient light, etc.
1.3 Applications
Smart appliances
Detects whether people are present in a room and dynamically adjusts appliance operating states (active / standby / off) for smart control.
Human presence lighting
Detects human presence and automatically controls lighting (e.g., public lighting, office lighting, and various sensor lights).
Smart home / building scenarios
For homes, hotels, offices, restrooms, and other spaces requiring real-time detection of entry/presence, enabling security, appliance control, and occupancy monitoring. Can be combined with IoT platforms for broader deployment.
