Solar Energy Manager B
5V-24V Solar Power Management Module, with MPPT, Type C Power Adapter, 5V/3.1A Regulated Output
Product Overview
The Solar Energy Manager B is a solar power management module with fast charging functionality. It supports charging 3.7V 18650 lithium batteries via solar panel and USB interface, and provides 5V/3.1A regulated output (the Type-C port also supports output with various protocols like PD/QC/FCP/PE/SFCP). The module features MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) and battery charge/discharge protection. MPPT automatically adjusts charging power based on input voltage for more efficient solar energy utilization. The protection circuit monitors battery voltage in real-time to prevent overcharging and over-discharging, protecting the battery and extending its lifespan. Due to its excellent stability and efficient charge/discharge management, it can be used in solar power generation, low-power IoT, environmental monitoring, power banks, and other green projects.
Product Features
- Supports MPPT tracking for enhanced solar conversion efficiency.

"MPPT SET" DIP Switch Settings:
When using the solar panel to charge the battery, ensure the "MPPT SET" DIP switch is correctly configured. Only one position of the DIP switch should be set to "ON," and all other positions should be set to "OFF."
The voltage set by the "MPPT SET" DIP switch should be based on the specifications of the solar panel. The closer the open-circuit output voltage of the solar panel is to the MPPT-set voltage, the higher the charging efficiency. However, the output voltage of the solar panel must be greater than or equal to the MPPT-set voltage.

Onboard LED Indicators: The definitions of the onboard LED indicators are shown in Table below:
LED Indicators Description
| Description of LED Indicators | Indicator Name | Description |
|---|---|---|
| LED Indicators | Solar Alarm (Red) | This LED will turn on when the polarity of the Solar charging power supply is reversed. |
| Solar Charge (red-green dual-color) | This LED will turn red when Solar is charging. This LED will turn green when Solar is fully charged. | |
| Fast Charge (Red) | This LED will turn on during fast charging. | |
| STATE (red-green dual-color) | The LED on the board will flash red at a frequency of 1Hz only when the board is being charged via USB. The LED will stay red when the board is only discharging. The LED will flash green at a frequency of 1Hz during simultaneous charging and discharging (including discharging when the USB is fully charged). The LED will stay green when the board is fully charged and has no load connected. | |
| Battery voltage indicator | Battery voltage indicator: the more LEDs that are lit from left to right, the higher the battery voltage; conversely, the fewer the LEDs, the lower the voltage. |
